Graduates of The IIE Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping will be able to balance books for small companies, pay salaries and collect money from debtors.


Full-time: This is a one year full-time qualification offered by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) at Rosebank College. Lectures take place during the day on weekdays. An online learning management system – RC Learn – is used to support the face to face lecturing and tuition in such a way that students are able to direct their own learning and have many opportunities to work online independently.  Offered full-time at our Polokwane, Bloemfontein and Pietermaritzburg campus only.
Part-time: This is an 18 month part-time qualification, please consult our student advisor for full qualification fees. There will be a future fee as this is an 18 month qualification and the fees displayed on the website are annual fees and not the full qualification. Qualification offered part-time at the following campuses: Braamfontein, Pretoria CBD and Durban CBD.


This certificate is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) at a Level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). It is also registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) ID NO: 90554. On successful completion you will receive a Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping from The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), the leading registered private provider of higher education in South Africa.
