UCT GSB Professional Coaching Course
The UCT GSB Professional Coaching Course is a transformative one-year journey designed to maximise your coaching learning and development, using proven methodology.
The course is designed by one of the leading coaching schools in the US – New Ventures West (NVW) and is run in partnership with the Centre for Coaching at the UCT Graduate School of Business and NVW. The course is also an International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach Training Programme (ACTP).
As this is an advanced one-year coaching course, candidates must have completed the pre-requisite UCT GSB’s Coaching for Development course in order to apply.
MPhil in Leadership Coaching at UJ
MPhil in Leadership Coaching at UJ will help you to develop at an advanced level the applied competence of the student in providing professional leadership coaching interventions. This will be done by developing the competences of contracting, assessing needs, constructing development plans, delivering individual and team coaching sessions and the evaluation of the impact of different coaching interventions through a number of modules. Through a mini-dissertation, the student will show evidence of scientific research and the ability to reflect on the holistic context of leadership coaching. The programme will provide a development experience to psychologists, psychometrists, human resource managers, and managers as well as other postgraduate students in becoming competent and professional leadership coaches in South Africa.
A relevant postgraduate Diploma / Bachelor Honours degree where the focus was either on human behaviour or leadership/management or a professional Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 120 credits at Level 7/8.
Having passed a module in Research Methodology on Honours NQF Level 7/8 would be a strong recommendation. A student must have at least three years’ work experience in the relevant field. Student number constraints necessitate a selection process consisting of psychometric assessments, a research exercise and interviews.
