Civil Technology Grade 12 Exam Guidelines Scope 2025 – What to Expect

The Civil Technology Grade 12 final exam tests both generic content and subject-specific content.

  • Section A (Generic): Same across all specialisations (Questions 1 and 2).
  • Section B (Specific): Focused on the chosen specialisation (Questions 3–6).

Question 3 – Construction Associated with Civil Services, OHSA, Quantities (30 marks)

Question 5 – Graphics (Pattern Development), Roof Work, Storm Water (30 marks)

Question 6 – Above- and Below-ground Drainage, Sanitary Fitments, Joining (40 marks)

3. Woodworking Specialisation

Question 1 – OHSA, Safety, Materials, Tools and Equipment, Joining (20 marks)

Question 2 – Interpretation of Advanced Drawings (40 marks)

Question 3 – Casements, Cupboards, Wall-panelling, Quantities (30 marks)

Question 4 – Roofs, Ceilings, Tools, Materials (40 marks)

Question 5 – Centering, Formwork, Shoring, Graphics (30 marks)

Question 6 – Suspended Floors, Staircases, Ironmongery, Doors, Joining (40 marks)

Total: 200 marks (180 minutes)
