SIX Steps to Follow to Become a Registered Member of the SACPCMP

SACPCMP Registration Process and Requirements: The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is the professional body that regulates the project and construction management professions in South Africa.

SIX Steps to Follow to Become a Registered Member of the SACPCMP

In order to become a registered member of the SACPCMP, here are the six steps to follow:

  1. Determine your eligibility: The SACPCMP offers registration for various categories of project and construction management professionals, including project and construction managers, construction health and safety managers, and construction project managers. Before starting the registration process, determine which category you are eligible for based on your qualifications and experience.
  2. Complete the registration form: Once you have determined your eligibility, you can download the registration form from the SACPCMP website. Complete the form with your personal details, academic qualifications, and work experience.
  3. Submit the registration form: After completing the registration form, submit it to the SACPCMP along with the necessary supporting documents, such as certified copies of your academic qualifications and identity document. You will also need to pay the registration fee.
  4. Wait for evaluation: Once your registration form has been received, the SACPCMP will evaluate your application to determine your eligibility. This may take several weeks or months, depending on the volume of applications.
  5. Attend an interview: If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an interview with the SACPCMP. The interview will assess your knowledge, skills, and experience in your chosen category.
  6. Register and obtain a certificate: If you are successful in the interview, you will be registered as a member of the SACPCMP and will be issued with a certificate. You will need to renew your registration annually and complete continuing professional development (CPD) requirements to maintain your registration.
