When will Stanford University Release Admission decisions

When will Stanford University Release Admission decisions 2024:

Applicants will receive decisions by April 9 instead of the originally scheduled April 1, and the enrollment deadline has also been extended from May 1 to May 3 to reflect the delayed timeline. The new timeline reflects Stanford’s “commitment to maintaining a thoughtful and thorough review,” according to the University.

The rise in applicants for admission comes after Stanford’s admit rate for the Class of 2024 rose to 5.19% — the first increase in the undergraduate admit rate since 2004 as a result of a decreased number of applicants. The University did not speculate on the reasons behind the decline, which followed the 2018-19 admissions cycle, where it recorded a record-high 47,498 applications (read more here).

Academic life at Stanford University

The essence of academic life at Stanford is a call to boundless research, service and discovery. It also informs our mission: to promote the advancement of public welfare through educational cultivation with a hands-on approach.

The first year at a major research university can be intimidating. That is why Stanford provides the resources to make sure students have the support to guide them, the opportunities to challenge them and the freedom to discover their potential.

The Stanford community allows for development of independence in a supported environment as a student charts his or her own personal journey in the environment of a liberal arts college. Above all else, Stanford is distinguished by its remarkable breadth of resources so students can design a unique intellectual adventure to meet their academic and personal goals.
