- Turning Community Needs into Career Opportunities – Thato saw that tourists were interested in the township experience but found hotels expensive. She used this need to start a bed and breakfast, later expanding to a restaurant and shop. Young people can identify similar gaps in their community and pursue careers in business, health, education, or other fields that address these needs.
- Creating Employment for Others – Because Thato’s business grew, she was able to employ 20 people, reducing unemployment in her township. Young people can pursue careers that not only provide for themselves but also create job opportunities for others.
