Why is the sea an important part of the water cycle

Do you know why is the sea an important part of the water cycle? Well, 96% of all the water on earth is found in the seas and oceans. That’s why many call Earth the Water Planet. The sea is the center of the hydrological cycle.

The importance of the sea in the hydrological cycle

The sea is the start and an end of the hydrological cycle journey – a never-ending global process of water circulation from clouds to land, to the ocean, and back to the clouds through:

  • Precipitation,
  • evaporation,

  • condensation
