When are matric results released 2024: Hey parents and students, are you eagerly waiting to find out how you did in your matric exams? Well, the wait is almost over! Let’s chat about when you can expect the 2023 National Senior Certificate exam results and what steps you should take afterwards.
Matric Results Release Date 2024
First things first, the big day is coming up! The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs. Angie Motshekga, will announce the outcome of the 2023 exams on 18 January 2024. But that’s not all – the actual results will be released to you guys, the candidates, the very next day, on 19 January 2024.
Getting Your Results
There are a couple of ways to get your hands on your results. You can collect your statement of results from your school or exam center where you wrote your exams. Or, if you’re a fan of convenience, check the results online from 6am on 19 January 2024 at www.eservices.gov.za. Just a heads-up, though – sometimes, some results might be delayed due to technical issues, so don’t panic if there’s a bit of a wait.
What If There’s an Issue?
Found a mistake or something off with your results? You’ve got 30 days after they’re released to submit a query for investigation. Also, double-check your name and ID number on the statement of results. If there’s an error, report it to the Department before 21 February 2024.
Matric Exam Remark
Thinking About a Re-Mark or Re-Check?
If you’re not quite satisfied with your score and think there might be a mistake, you can apply for a re-mark or re-check of your exam scripts. This can be done at your school, district office, or online at www.eservices.gov.za. But keep an eye on the clock – the deadline for applications is 2 February 2024, and this applies to both manual and online applications.
Here’s what it’ll cost you:
- Re-mark: R120.00 per subject.
- Re-check: R29.00 per subject.
Want to See Your Exam Script?
After a re-mark or re-check, you might want to see your exam script. This is doable, but only after the re-mark or re-check results are out. You’ve got 7 days after those results to apply for viewing, and it’ll cost you R234.00.
When to Expect Re-marking Results
Results from remarking will be available from 15 March 2024. You can pick them up at the same school or exam center where you sat for your 2023 exams.
So there you have it, folks – all the key dates and details you need to know about getting and dealing with your matric results. Keep these dates in mind, and don’t forget to follow the necessary steps if you need to. Best of luck, and here’s hoping for great outcomes for all of you!
